Your data, your call
Delete your EventSathi account
You can delete your account and personal data at any time. It takes under a minute in the app.
Option 1: in the app
- Open EventSathi and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm with the one-time code sent to your mobile number.
Option 2: by email, if you no longer have the app
Write to privacyandsecurity@eventsathi.com with the mobile number registered to your account. We will verify it is you with a one-time code before deleting anything.
Before you can delete
You can delete your account once you have no events you organise or are the planner of, no active team role on someone else's event, no business you own or co-manage, and nothing awaiting your decision. The app shows what to resolve first.
The 7 days
- Your account is scheduled for deletion and you are signed out everywhere. Signing out also removes the app's encrypted offline copy from your phone.
- For 7 days you can change your mind: sign in with your phone number and code, and tap Restore. Everything is as you left it.
- After 7 days the deletion is final and can't be undone.
- If, by the end of the 7 days, you have been linked to someone else's event again (for example added as a guest or given a team role), the deletion is cancelled and your account stays active. You can ask again once that is resolved.
What is deleted after the 7 days
- Your sign-in identity: your phone numbers and email. The phone number can then be used to register a new account.
- Your profile: name, photo, date of birth, address, preferences, food preferences, trusted vendors and referral details.
- Your saved family entries, favourites and subscription record.
- Your sign-in sessions, your device registrations for notifications, and your notifications inbox.
What is kept
- Content on other people's events that you took part in or contributed: for example your RSVP, photos or wishes you posted in an album, gifts you logged, issues or actions you raised, and reviews you wrote. These belong to the event, and removing them would damage other people's records. They are kept and your name no longer shows; they appear as a removed person.
- Chat messages in shared conversations stay for the other members. They are end-to-end encrypted.
- Records tied to money or an agreement between you and another party, such as vendor bookings and payments recorded on someone else's event, kept for up to 5 years.
- Reports, moderation records and audit logs the EventSathi team keeps, for safety and legal reasons, for up to 5 years.
- Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
